Vidar Jusnes Vang, born on September 22, 1976, in Bjerkvik, Norway, is a Norwegian singer-songwriter who began writing songs as a teenager. In 1998, he released his unofficial debut album Blue. His first demo with a band, recorded in 1999, led to performances at by:Larm and the Norwegian Wood festival. After moving to Oslo in August 2000, he signed with EMI in 2001. Vidar Jusnes Vang's official debut album Rodeo was released in September 2002 and received a Norwegian Grammy nomination the following year. The single "Under Six Strings" became one of his signature songs. In 2004, he released Stand Up Straight, featuring the hit single "Here It Is". Starting with VÃ¥rres egen lille krig in 2015, he transitioned to singing primarily in Norwegian. Subsequent releases include 8530 Bjerkvik (2018) and Mann fra Nord (2019).
