Vicente Soto Barea, known professionally as Vicente Soto Sordera, is a Spanish flamenco cantaor born on April 1, 1954, in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. He initially balanced guitar studies with his natural inclination toward singing, ultimately focusing on cante during his adolescence. He began performing at various tablaos in Madrid, gaining professional experience alongside figures such as Antonio Gades and Manuela Vargas before embarking on a solo career in the mid-1980s. His performances took him to prestigious venues such as La Scala in Milan and the Teatro de las Nations in Paris, as well as festivals across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His discography includes the albums Pessoa Flamenco (1986), Jondo Espejo Gitano (1990), Verea del Camino (1997), and Entre Dos Mundos (2000). He collaborated with prominent guitarists such as Vicente Amigo, Tomatito, and Paco Cepero.
