Twinemen was an alternative rock band from Cambridge, Massachusetts, that was active between 2001 and 2008. It consisted of former members of Morphine and Face to Face, with Dana Colley on saxophone and vocals, Billy Conway on percussion, vocals, and sometimes acoustic guitar, and Laurie Sargent as lead singer and guitarist. Various bass players, including Stuart Kimball, also performed with the band. Twinemen's music blended jazz, blues, acid rock, and lounge elements. The band released their debut album Twinemen in 2002. Their subsequent releases included Sideshow (2004) and Twinetime (2007). The band also released several live albums through the Kufala Recordings label, capturing performances from various cities across the United States. Twinemen's name was an homage to Morphine's late leader Mark Sandman and his comic series, which featured anthropomorphic balls of twine who play in a band.
