Biography

Treacherous Orchestra, a 12-piece Scottish Celtic fusion band, first played together and gained recognition at Celtic Connections in 2009. They showcased a unique blend of Scottish traditional music with influences from folk, rock, and punk. Their instrumentation included bagpipes, accordion, banjo, bodhrán, fiddle, tin whistle, guitars, bass, and drums. The band released their first full-length album, Origins, in 2012. Their second album, Grind, was released in 2015 and earned them a nomination for the Scottish Album of the Year awards. Treacherous Orchestra was noted for their furious and dynamic live performances and impressive musicianship.
