Schäl Sick Brass Band was a world music group from Cologne, Germany. Founded in 1995 by Raimund Kroboth and other jazz musicians from the local scene, the band's name was derived from Schäl Sick, the right bank districts of Cologne. Their unique sound blended influences from Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, North Africa, and more, often reinterpreting traditional songs with new arrangements. The band's debut album Majnoun was released in 1996, followed by Tschupun in 1999, Maza Meze in 2000, and Kesh Mesh in 2002. Notable vocalists included Maryam Akhondy from Iran and Ivanka Ivanova from Bulgaria. Schäl Sick Brass Band toured extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, notably performing at Willy Millowitsch's 90th birthday celebration.
