The Electrics are a Scottish Celtic rock band from Dumbarton, formed in 1988 when Sammy Horner and Paul Baird asked Dave McArthur and Allan Hewitt to play a gig at Glasgow's Impact Festival. They released Visions and Dreams (1990/1991) on Word Records, Big Silent World (1993) on Pila Music, and "Livin' It Up When I Die" (1998). In 2005, they released the album Old, New, Borrowed & Green. The band performed in the UK, Europe, and the US. Sammy Horner later toured with his wife Kylie Horner as The Sweet Sorrows.
