Biography

Tommy Seebach Mortensen, born on September 14, 1949, in Copenhagen, Denmark, was a Danish singer. He began his musical career as an organist at age 14 and gained popularity in 1965 as a member of Sir Henry and His Butlers. In 1976, Seebach emerged as a solo artist with the release of Lucky Guy. He competed seven times in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix, winning three times: in 1979 with "Disco Tango", in 1981 with "Krøller eller ej" (a duet with Debbie Cameron), and in 1993 with "Under stjernerne på himlen". His song "Disco Tango" finished sixth at the Eurovision Song Contest 1979. Seebach died on March 31, 2003, at the age of 53.
