Biography

Thomas Alden Page, known professionally as Tommy Page, was an American pop, dance, and freestyle singer-songwriter born on 24 May 1967 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. He began his music career in 1985 by forming the band Broken Promises with his brother Bill Page and releasing a self-titled four-track EP under Broccoli Rabe Records. His breakthrough came when he worked as a cloakroom attendant at Nell's nightclub in New York, where his demo tape was played by the house DJ and caught the attention of Sire Records founder Seymour Stein. He released his debut self-titled album in November 1988 under Sire/Warner Bros. Records, which included hits such as "A Zillion Kisses" and "Turning Me On". His follow-up album Paintings In My Mind, released in March 1990, featured the number one single "I'll Be Your Everything", a collaboration with members of New Kids on the Block. Other notable albums include From The Heart (May 1991), which showcased his vocal range and included the singles "Whenever You Close Your Eyes" and "Under the Rainbow". He also collaborated with various artists, including Tiffany, Michael Bolton, Diane Warren, Amy Mastura, and Fauziah Latiff. He died on 3 March 2017 in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
