Biography

The Wild! hail from Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. First coming together in 2012, lead guitarist and singer Dylan Villain, drummer Reese Lightning, bass player Boozus, and guitarist Benny The Kid gigged relentlessly and built a fanbase with their traditional party hearty rock sound and their high-energy shows. Their independently released single “Road House” helped build their profile thanks in part to a viral video directed by the band’s frequent collaborator Stuey Kubrick. The band signed with eOne Music and opened for fellow traditionalists Buckcherry on a Canadian tour. They went into the studio with celebrated classic rock producer Mike Fraser. The band’s debut album, GxDxWxBx, powered by the singles “Slow Burn” and “Party ‘Til You’re Dead”, was a success, earning the band a 2015 nomination for Best New Rock Group at the Canadian Radio Music Awards. Two years later they returned with another Fraser-produced album, Wild At Heart, and another Kubrick-directed video for the lead single, “Ready to Roll.” March of 2020 saw the release of their third album, the Fraser-produced Still Believe In Rock and Roll, a title that could double for the band’s mission statement. However, the COVID-19 pandemic scrapped their international touring plans, and the group showcased the new record with an April 4 concert that was live-streamed on their Facebook page.
