Them Are Us Too was an American dream pop and darkwave band formed in 2012 by Kennedy Ashlyn and Cash Askew while they were students at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Their debut album, Remain, was released in 2015 through Dais Records. In December 2016, Askew died in the Ghost Ship warehouse fire. Ashlyn subsequently completed their second album, Amends, and retired the Them Are Us Too name to release solo music under the name SRSQ. The band's impact was commemorated later through an Oakland United benefit concert in December 2016, featuring a performance by Ashlyn and Anya Taylor, Askew's girlfriend, and releases like Drab Majestyâs "Oak Wood" (2017) dedicated to Askew.
