Biography

The Yetties, a folk music group from Yetminster, England, formed in 1961 with Bob Common, Mac McCulloch, John "Bonny" Sartin and Pete Shutler. The band turned professional in 1967 and began performing extensively across the UK and Europe. They released numerous albums, including Keep A-Runnin'-It's The Yetties! (1970), Dorset Is Beautiful (1972) and Up In Arms (1974). Notable projects included recording on Thomas Hardy’s own fiddle and collaborating with John Arlott. Bob Common left in 1979, and Roger Trim joined from 1984 to 1991. The Yetties retired in 2011 after their final performance at Sherborne. Pete Shutler passed away on September 21, 2014, followed by Mac McCulloch on December 15, 2021.
