Biography
Tilburi was a Spanish folk rock band formed in Madrid in 1973 by José Luis Barceló, Antonio RenterÃa, and Luis Granda. Influenced by groups like Crosby, Stills & Nash and America, Tilburi's early performances began in 1973. Their debut album, ¡Al Fin!, was released in 1975 under the Movieplay label, produced by Gonzalo GarcÃa Pelayo. The album featured original songs sung in English with prominent acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies. That year, they participated in the controversial Festival Ciudad de Burgos, Spain's first major music festival, alongside groups like Triana and Burning. After the festival, Granda left the band and was replaced by Nano DomÃnguez. In 1976, Tilburi released their second album, Alcocebre, a conceptual work featuring two suites, "Un recital en la playa" and "De vuelta a casa", sung in Spanish with Mediterranean rhythms. Tilburi disbanded in 1977.
