Biography

Sue Keller, born on July 7, 1952 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, is an American ragtime pianist and singer. She began her musical journey with flute and singing lessons as a child, also playing the guitar. Keller attended DePauw University and played professionally in various styles before focusing on ragtime and old forms of jazz. In 1992, she founded Ragtime Press and the record label HVR. Her discography included albums such as She Loved Christmas (2002), My Reindeer Don't Like to Fly (2004), and A Little Lost Lamb (2005). Keller also notably became a contestant on the quiz show Jeopardy! in 1997, winning three games and $28,400. She served as the festival music director for the Scott Joplin International Ragtime Foundation from 2003 through 2009 and received the foundation's 2010 Friend of Ragtime Award.
