Biography

The Travelling Band, an English indie band formed in 2006 in Manchester, consists of Jo Dudderidge, Adam P. Gorman, Nick Vaal, Harry Fausing Smith, and Sam Quinn. The band's debut studio album, Under the Pavement, was released in 2008 after recording it with producer Eric 'Roscoe' Ambel. The album received critical acclaim, featuring as BBC Radio 6 Music's "Album of the Day" and BBC Radio 2's "Single of the Week" for "Only Waiting". In 2011, they released Screaming is Something under Cooking Vinyl. They also supported charities like Manchester Aid to Kosovo and raised significant funds through concerts and album sales. After a hiatus starting in 2018, The Travelling Band returned for charity events in 2019 and 2021, and announced a comeback performance at the Trades Club in Hebden Bridge in August 2023.
