Later Youth is the solo project of British singer-songwriter and producer Jo Dudderidge, known for his distinctive voice, soulful piano, and lyrical wit. Drawing favourable comparisons to artists like Rufus Wainwright, Ezra Furman, and The Bees, Later Youth's music blends elements of soul, classic rock, and alt-country. Before embarking on his solo career, Dudderidge was a founding member of the Manchester-based band The Travelling Band, who released three full-length albums and performed at major UK festivals. In July 2025, Later Youth released his debut album, Living History, via his own label, Sideways Saloon. The album features tracks like "Enabler", which explores the autosuggestive nature of desire, and "Statuesque", inspired by a near-fatal bout of viral meningitis he experienced at age 23.
