The adventure began in 2005 for Madrilenians The Sweet Vandals. The group's members come from various Spanish funk bands based in the capital. Led by singer Mayka Edjo, The Sweet Vandals released their album The Sweet Vandals in 2007, followed by a European tour. These emulators of retro soul saw their song "Beautiful" chosen by Nike and Fiat for their commercials. This success encouraged the band to persevere, and in 2009 they released Lovelite. The Sweet Vandals once again recreate the soul of the sixties and seventies with So Clear in 2011.
