The Special Goodness was an American alternative rock band formed in 1996 in Los Angeles, California. The ensemble was fronted by Patrick Wilson, the drummer for the band Weezer. Wilson performed as the sole member on most recordings. The group released its eponymous debut studio album, The Special Goodness, in 1998 through Rock Records. This was followed by the self-released album At Some Point, Birds and Flowers Became Interesting in 2001. In 2003, the band released Land Air Sea, which featured a collaboration with drummer Atom Willard and was issued by labels including Epitaph Records and N.O.S. Recordings. This album included the single âLife Goes Byâ. The group released its final studio album, Natural, in 2012 through Surf Green Records. The Special Goodness became inactive in 2012.
