The Palm Beach Band Boys was a studio recording group assembled by RCA Victor in 1966. The group was created to capitalize on the success of The New Vaudeville Band's hit single "Winchester Cathedral" and performed in a style known as newstalgia, featuring a faux 1920s/1930s sound with nasal vocals, banjo, brass, electric guitar, rock drums, and bassoon. Their debut album, Winchester Cathedral, was released the same year and peaked at number 149 on the Billboard 200. The song "I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter" reached number 25 on the Adult Contemporary chart and number 117 on the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. In 1967, they released their second album, The Palm Beach Band Boys Strike Again.
