Biography
The Nonce was a hip-hop duo consisting of Sach and Yusef Afloat. They began their music career in 1990. Their first single, "The Picnic Song" (1992), was followed by the single "Mix Tapes" (1994). Their debut album, World Ultimate (1995), was released on the American Recordings label. The duo released the EP The Sight of Things (1998) before Afloat was found dead in 2000. Posthumous releases include the compilations Advanced Regression (2005) and The Right State of Mind (2005). Their album 1990 (2018) was recorded in 1990 but remained unreleased for 28 years.
