The Nixons, an American alternative rock band, were formed in 1990 in Oklahoma City by Zac Maloy, Jesse Davis, Ricky Brooks, and Tye Robison. They released their first EP Six in 1992. John Humphrey replaced Robison on drums, and the band issued Halo in 1994. Their breakthrough came with the release of Foma in 1995 through MCA Records, which featured hit singles "Sister" and "Wire". The album peaked at number 77 on the Billboard 200. In 1997, they released their self-titled album, which included singles "The Fall", "Miss USA", and "Baton Rouge". The band disbanded quietly in 2000 after the release of Latest Thing through Koch Records. In January 2017, The Nixons reunited with their classic lineup and released the EP Song of the Year.
