THE MAD CAPSULE MARKETS is a Japanese rock band formed in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture in 1985, and made their major debut in 1991 with the simultaneous release of a single. The band is known for its cutting-edge style, which is based on punk rock and fuses digital hardcore and rap metal. The band consists of KYONO (vocals), TAKESHI UEDA (bass/programming), and MOTOKATSU MIYAGAMI (drums). Representative albums include "Digidogheadlock" (1997), "OSC-DIS" (1999), and "010" (2001), and songs " EJECTâOUT " (1994), "Pulse" (1999), "Good Girl" (2001), "FLYHIGH" (2002) are well known both in Japan and abroad. OSC-DIS" was especially well received overseas, and raised the band's international profile.
