Biography

Japanese punk rock band, JUN SKY WALKER(S), formed in the mid-1980s and debuted as major artists on May 21, 1988. The group consisted of Kazuya Miyata (vocals, composer), Mori Junta (guitars), Yohito Teraoka (bass), Tsuyoshi Ito (bass), and Masayuki Kobayashi (drums). Their debut EP Zenbukonomamade marked their entry into the music scene. The band released several albums including J(S)W, Hitotsu Dakishimete, and Aruiteikou. Notable songs from this period include "つめこんだHappy" and "START". JUN SKY WALKER(S) played a role in the transition of Japanese rock music from the 1980s to the 1990s, alongside bands like Boøwy and artists such as KAN. The band disbanded on June 14, 1997. Post-disbandment, members pursued various solo projects and collaborations, reuniting in 2007 with new material including LOST&FOUND (2012), FLAGSHIP (2013), BACK BAD BEAT(S) (2015), FANFARE (2016), and BRAND NEW WORLD (2022).
