Biography
The Jazz June is an American emo band formed in the United States in 1996. Established by students at Kutztown University, the group blended hardcore aggression with experimental music. Their debut album, They Love Those Who Make The Music (1997), was followed by the recordings Breakdance Suburbia (1998) and The Medicine (2000), the latter of which was recorded with producer J. Robbins. Their discography includes the album Better Off Without Air (2002). The band became inactive in 2003 before resuming activity in 2014 and releasing the album After the Earthquake (2014) through Topshelf Records. In 2016, Rolling Stone ranked The Medicine at number 33 on its list of the 40 Greatest Emo Albums of All Time.
