THE HARD TIME* is a Japanese band rooted in the soulful grooves of the 1970s and 1980s, blending influences from classic soul with the sensibilities of contemporary Japanese music. Formed by Shohei Suzuki (vocals), Bandai (bass), and Hikaru Naruse (guitar), the group is based in Tokyo and crafts songs that emphasize both authenticity and individuality. Their concept is to revive the richness of old-school soul music while reinterpreting it with a modern touch, ensuring that their work remains accessible to new audiences while honoring its origins.
