Biography

After getting her start with the rock band Opossum, Anaïs (b. Croze, 1976) made a name for herself with her concerts, her self-produced live album The Cheap Show (2005), and especially the tracks "Mon coeur, mon amour" and "Christina". An artist of the new French scene in the 2000s, the singer's humorous style and musical delirium make her a force to be reckoned with. In 2008, Anaïs changed her image in The Love Album, produced by Dan the Automator on her favorite theme, and offered a live version in The Short Version (2010). Anaïs was back in the news in March 2012 with À l'Eau de Javel, an album of covers of often obscure post-war songs. After this brief experience with a major label, the singer returned to artistic independence with the album Hellno Kitty (2014).
