Foxxi misQ was a Japanese three-member vocal and dance unit formed in 2005 through the music audition TV show *Utasta!!*. Produced by Face 2 fAKE, the group featured CHiE, DEM, and YU-A and was envisioned as a Japanese version of Destinyâs Child. They trained rigorously before debuting in July 2006 with the single âTha F.Qâs Style", followed by "ULTIMATE GIRLS" later that year. The groupâs third single, "AâLâIâVâE", released in January 2007, became one of their most successful, setting their record for highest first-week sales. Their 2007 album GLOSS included collaborations with artists like ZEEBRA, marking their shift toward R&B and hip-hop influences. Foxxi misQ continued to release singles until 2008, including a Japanese mash-up cover of Wham!âs âLast Christmas.â As members began pursuing solo venturesâYU-A notably debuting solo in 2009âthe groupâs joint activities slowed. On July 19, 2010, Foxxi misQ officially announced a hiatus. They briefly reunited in 2019 to release the digital single âGOOD RULEâ commemorating YU-Aâs 10th solo anniversary.
