The Deadly Syndrome was a US alternative rock group formed in 2006 in Los Angeles, California by Will Etling, Jesse Hoy, Michael Hughes, and Crash Richard. In late 2006, they were signed to Dim Mak Records and released their debut album The Ortolan on September 11, 2007. Produced by Nico Aglietti and Aaron Older of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, it received favorable reviews from various critics and magazines. The band toured with Oh No! Oh My!, Let's Go Sailing, Hot Hot Heat, and The Airborne Toxic Event. In 2010, they self-released their second album Nolens Volens, which included "I Hope I Become a Ghost" and "Young at Heart", featured in soundtracks of World's Greatest Dad, Detention of the Dead, and Jackass 3.5. Their final album All In Time was released on August 7, 2012. The band announced their separation on January 7, 2013.
