Biography

The Boojums are a Canadian rock trio from Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia. Formed in late 2024 by Willie Stratton (guitar, vocals), Sara Johnston (bass, vocals) and Patrick Murphy (drums, vocals), the band first made a name for themselves through VHS videos posted online. Their raw energy and catchy melodies quickly won them a loyal following. Their music blends 1960s garage rock, 1970s punk, 1980s alternative rock and 1990s power pop, creating a sound that's both retro and contemporary. Their self-titled debut album, released in October 2025, incorporated the various singles accumulated since their debut, including "Outta My Head", "Wings of Fire" and "Football". In 2026, "Scott Pilgrim" reached number 24 in the UK singles charts.
