The Bombpops, an American punk rock band, were formed in San Diego, California, in 2007 by co-frontwomen Jen Razavi and Poli van Dam. The duo met through mutual friends and later reconnected at a local music studio, deciding to form their own band after playing together in an 80s power metal group. Their first EPs, a self titled in 2009 and Like I Care in 2010, was released independently. The Bombpops signed to Fat Wreck Chords and released their first full-length album Fear of Missing Out in February 2017. They gained significant exposure by touring with notable acts such as NOFX, Descendents, and Bad Religion. In March 2020, they released the album Death in Venice Beach, which was featured on Alternative Press' 50 Best 2020 Albums list. Van Dam left the band in November 2021 due to family and health issues.
