Biography

The Apache Relay was an American folk-rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee. Formed at Belmont University, they released their debut album 1988 under Michael Ford Jr.'s name in 2009 and followed it up with American Nomad in 2011. The band gained recognition by opening for Mumford & Sons and performing at various music festivals. Their song "Power Hungry Animals" was featured in the 2013 comedy film The Way Way Back. In 2014, they released their eponymous album The Apache Relay on April 22, which included the single "Katie Queen of Tennessee". The band disbanded in 2015.
