Biography

The Allniters, an Australian ska band, were formed in Sydney in 1980. Their breakthrough came with "Montego Bay", a cover of Bobby Bloom's hit, which peaked at number 19 on the Australian singles charts in 1983. This success was followed by their debut album D-D-D-Dance (1983), featuring the single "Love and Affection". The Allniters signed with Powderworks and RCA, releasing several more singles and experiencing lineup changes throughout the mid-1980s. They disbanded in July 1987 but reformed briefly in 1999 to tour and record Another Fine Mess, which released in 2000.
