Biography

The Aerovons is an American rock group from St. Louis, Missouri, formed in 1966. Keyboardist Tom Hartman founded the band, which recorded a demo in 1967 that led to interest from Capitol Records. The group traveled to London in 1968 and 1969, receiving offers from the labels EMI and Decca Records. In 1969, the band recorded at EMI Studios with engineers Norman Smith, Geoff Emerick, Phil McDonald, and Alan Parsons. The group released the recordings "The Train" and "World of You" in 1969 before becoming inactive. The studio album Resurrection, recorded in 1969, remained unreleased until 2003. In 2021, the band released the album A Little More, which included the recording "Swinging London". Hartman and the group released the compilation World of You (The Complete Recordings) in 2024.
