Mike Silverman, known professionally as That 1 Guy, was born in the United States of America. He is a singer who began his musical journey as a classically trained double bass player at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Silverman transitioned to a solo career under the name That 1 Guy, developing a unique style that incorporated singing, beatboxing, and playing various homemade instruments such as the Magic Pipe. Notable releases include The Moon Is Disgusting (2007), which featured the song "Buttmachine" used in Showtime's series Weeds, and Packs a Wallop! (2010). He collaborated with Buckethead on the album Bolt on Neck under the name Frankenstein Brothers in 2008.
