The Everyman Band left behind a small catalog of just two albums to show for the jazz fusion outfitâs brief lifespan: Everyman Band in 1982 and Without Warning in 1985. The group included saxophonist Marty Fogel, bassist Bruce Yaw, and drummer Michael Suchorsky, who all had been members of Lou Reedâs backing band at various points throughout the mid-to-late â70s, spanning the albums Coney Island Baby through The Bells. The band was rounded out by experimental guitarist David Torn, who was then an unknown quantity, but would go on to tour and record with David Bowie, Madonna, and John Legend, among others. The bandâs two albums were released through the German label ECM Records, and both exclusively featured original compositions.
