Terry Clark, born September 22, 1946, in San Diego, is an influential figure in the Jesus music movement, later known as contemporary Christian music. Despite growing up in a Christian home, Clark explored various lifestyles in his youth. His military service in Southeast Asia from 1968 to 1971 left him struggling with severe PTSD, pushing him into a state of despair. A profound encounter with God's love, as he describes, sparked a dramatic transformation in his life, shifting his psychiatric prognosis from hopeless to hopeful. Clark initially performed with "The Children of Faith," who released a single album in 1974, and later joined Liberation Suite for their 1975 European tour. Transitioning to a solo career, he became a prominent voice in Christian music, contributing lead vocals to over 65 Maranatha! Music projects from 1980 to 2000, including Promise Keepers productions. His solo discography includes albums such as Only Believe (2000), Tuyo Soy (2007) and We've Come To Worship (2008).
