Biography
Hillsong Worship are a Christian music group whose members are drawn from a wide circle of performers scattered around the globe but who come together to collaborate on the various recording projects in which the group are involved.
The band originate from Sydney, Australia and were all members of the Pentecostal Hillsong Church, a religious movement which started in the city. Hillsong Worship currently have a roster of some 20 members who perform a variety of musical roles. They began recording albums in the late 1980s but it wasn't until the turn of the millennium that their records began to appear in the Australian charts and their eleventh album 'Blessed' went to number four in the listings. More success followed including two number ones and eleven top five placings.
The group have built their success on a foundation of solid songwriting and polished performances and such is the quality of their work their record sales are not confined solely to Christian music fans.
