Mary Jane Cruz Mendoza, known professionally as Jamie Rivera, was born on August 29, 1966, in the Philippines. She began her career with the release of her debut album Hey It's Me in 1987 under PolyEast Records. Her breakthrough came with the single "Tanging Yaman" from the same album. Rivera continued to release albums including All Out for Love, We Can Show the World, and Pangako. She signed with Star Music in 1996, releasing notable albums such as Feels So Right (1999) and Heal Our Land (2001). Rivera's career includes collaborations on various projects, including the theme song "We Are All Godâs Children" for Pope Francis' visit to the Philippines in 2015. She has also performed for notable figures such as Pope John Paul II and played the role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
