Tav Falco's Panther Burns is an American rock ensemble from Memphis established in 1979. The group consists of the musicians Tav Falco, Mario Monterosso, Giuseppe Sangirardi, and Walter Brunetti. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by rockabilly, blues rock, and gothic country. The ensemble was founded by the vocalist and guitarist Falco with the musicians Alex Chilton, Ross Johnson, and Eric Hill. They achieved professional recognition for popularizing the fusion of traditional American music styles with rock and punk. Their recording career began with the debut extended play âShe's the One to Blameâ (1980) released on the label Frenzi. Tav Falco's Panther Burns achieved professional recognition for the debut studio recording Behind the Magnolia Curtain (1981). Their discography included the extended play âBlow Your Topâ (1982) and the extended play âSugar Ditch Revisitedâ (1985).
