Biography

Talco, an Italian patchanka/ska punk band from Marghera, Venice, was formed in 2001. Initially known as Talco Mentolato, they won a local competition in April 2001 and released their first demo. Changing their name to Talco, they debuted with the album Tutti Assolti in 2004. The band's lineup evolved, but they gained traction with albums like Combat Circus (2006) and Mazel Tov (2008). Their music blends ska, punk, and Italian folk influences, often described as "Patchanka." Notable releases include La Cretina Commedia (2010), dedicated to activist Peppino Impastato, and Silent Town (2015). Talco's 2018 album And the Winner Isn't charted in Germany at number 72. Their unique sound and energetic performances have established them as key players in the European ska-punk scene.
