Biography
Born in 2001, Sydney Minsky Sargeant formed the band Working Men's Club in Todmorden, West Yorkshire, in 2018. Singer, guitarist and keyboardist, he composed and played in various town bands such as Minsky Rock, before meeting Giulia Bonometti (guitar, vocals), Jake Bogacki (guitar), Liam Ogburn (bass) and Rob Graham (drums). The band's blend of post-punk revival and electronica resulted in a critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2020, followed by Fear Fear (2022), both released on Heavenly Records. In 2025, Minsky Sargeant ventures with producer Daniel Avery and James Greenwood (Ghost Culture) into the electronic project Demise of Love, which records an EP of the same name. At the same time, he worked on his first solo album, Lunga, released in September 2025 by Domino Records.
