David Alexander Lomelino, known professionally as Summer Heart, is a Swedish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in Sweden. He launched his solo project Summer Heart in 2011 upon returning to Sweden. His debut release, the Please Stay EP (2011), quickly gained traction on music blogs and topped Hype Machine's charts. The EP received positive reviews from publications such as The Guardian and The Star. Alexanderâs breakthrough came when one of his tracks was featured in the NBC TV series Whitney, expanding his listener base beyond the blogosphere. Summer Heart released several albums and singles, including About a Feeling (2012), "Thinkin of U" (2015), and Still Life (2024). His music is characterized by a nostalgic lo-fi sound, which has garnered him a dedicated following. Summer Heart often performs live with friends, maintaining the solo project's collaborative spirit.
