Biography

Subb, a ska-punk band from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, Canada, was formed in 1992 by Mart Charron on vocals and guitar, Fred Gagné on lead guitar, Stef Gauthier on bass, and Chris Roy on drums. Initially known as Society Under Babbling Boobs (S.U.B.B.), the group released their debut album, The Highstep to Hell, in 1997 under Underworld Records. Their breakthrough came with the release of "All about Shane" from their 2000 album Until the Party Ends on Stomp Records, which reached eighth place on MusiquePlus' Top 20 and remained in the top five for six weeks. Subb toured extensively, sharing stages with notable acts like The Vandals and Less Than Jake, and performed at the Vans Warped Tour from 1999 to 2008. Their final album, To This Beat, was released on June 2, 2009. After a farewell tour in late 2010, Subb disbanded.
