Biography

The Expendables, an American reggae rock band from Santa Cruz, California, was formed in 1997 by Geoff Weers on vocals and guitar, Raul Bianchi on lead guitar, and Adam Patterson on drums. The trio initially performed as a "party band," covering surf rock songs for local events. In 2000, Ryan DeMars joined on bass, completing the quartet's laid-back surf sound. Their debut album No Time To Worry was released in January 2001, followed by Open Container in January 2002. The band gained local popularity and had their own radio show, Locals Only, on KMBY in 2003. In September 2004, they released Gettin' Filthy, featuring hit singles "Keef Bowl For Two" and "Sacrifice". Their self-titled album, released in September 2007, included popular tracks like "Down, Down, Down" and "Ganja Smugglin'". They went on to release four more albums, with the most recent Pleasure Point in 2023.
