Biography

Spiral Dance, an Australian musical group based in Adelaide, was formed in 1992 with a focus on Pagan folk rock. The band's initial lineup centered around Adrienne Piggott's songwriting and vocal skills, blending traditional English folk-rock with Celtic harmony, supported by guitar, button accordion, bass, and percussion. Their debut album, Woman of the Earth, was released in 1996, followed by Over the Nine Waves in 1997 and Magick in 1999. Spiral Dance gained significant traction through their extensive touring across Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom, including notable performances with Damh the Bard, at Glastonbury Faerie Ball, Witchfest International, and The Mercian Gathering. The band's discography includes nine albums and several singles, with highlights such as The Quickening (2006), From the Mist, A Retrospective (2010), and Through a Sylvan Doorway (2012). Their music often explores themes of magic, myth, and legend, supported by powerful self-penned songs.
