Wendy Elizabeth Rule, born on October 31, 1966, in Sydney, Australia, is a singer known for her work in dark ambient and electronic music. Raised in Blackburn, Victoria, she developed an early love for nature and singing, performing publicly for the first time at age 15 in her school musical. After the birth of her son Reuben, she discovered her spiritual path as a pagan and began composing songs about magic and mythology, which became the foundation of her debut album Zero (1996). Her subsequent albums include World Between Worlds (2000), Guided by Venus (2010), Black Snake (2013), and Vox Solfeggio (2017). Wendy Rule has collaborated with notable musicians such as Rachel Samuel on the violin. She has toured extensively across Australia, the United States, Europe, and beyond, often performing as an acoustic solo artist or with her original three-member band.
