SM Town is a K-pop collective formed by the entertainment company SM Entertainment in 1999. Its roster is made up of a wide array of musical artists, actors, producers, composers, lyricists, and choreographers. It is known for its concert series The Agit, which was held in SMTOWN Theatre in Seoul between 2003 and 2016, and its digital music project SM Station, in which they showcase the work of its artists and producers. The collective is home to some of South Koreaâs most successful idol groups, such as Girlsâ Generation, EXO, and Shinee, and has released several compilation albums, including the Christmas album SMTown Winter: The Warmest Gift in 2011. One of SM Townâs most successful members is the girl group Red Velvet, who has been consistently topping the Gaon charts since their debut EP Ice Cream Cake saw the light in 2015. Queendom, their sixth EP and twelfth overall release, reached Number 2 in South Korea and peaked at Number 15 on Japanâs Oricon charts, and its title track entered the Top 10 on Billboardâs US World Digital Song Sales.
