Exo-SC is a South Korean hip-hop duo and the second sub-unit of the boy band Exo. The duo consists of members Chanyeol and Sehun. The group was formed after a performance of the song "We Young" by Chanyeol and Sehun during Exo's concert tour garnered a lot of positive feedback and was consequently released digitally. The duo's name, Exo-SC (shortened from SeChan), was announced in 2019, and it was revealed that they would release their debut extended play later that year. The resulting EP What a Life (2019) includes six tracks and was very commercially successful, peaking at number 1 on the Korean charts and earning the duo their first music show win on KBS's Music Bank shortly after its release. In 2020, Exo-SC took on endorsement roles, notably for Cass Fresh beer in June. Later that year, the duo released their first full-length album 1 Billion Views. The LP continued the band's winning streak, making them the best-selling sub-unit in Korea with over 500,000 copies sold and receiving double platinum certification from KMCA. The duo received a Disc Bonsang at the Golden Disc Awards in 2019 for What a Life and multiple nominations in 2020 for 1 Billion Views.
