VIXX LR, the first official sub-unit of the South Korean boy band VIXX under Jellyfish Entertainment, was formed in August 2015. Consisting of VIXX vocalist Leo and rapper Ravi, the duo made their debut with the mini album Beautiful Liar on August 17, 2015. The album reached number 2 on the Billboard World Albums and the South Korean Album charts, and landed the top position in Taiwan. On September 1, VIXX LR earned their first music show win on SBS MTV's The Show and the album’s title track was nominated for two awards at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards. VIXX LR released their second mini album, Whisper, on August 28, 2017, which also achieved significant success, reaching Number 1 on the Korean charts and charting at number 5 and 2 on the in Taiwan and US World charts, respectively. In October 2017, VIXX LR announced their first concert tour, Eclipse, which included shows in Seoul, Tokyo, and Osaka. On January 24, 2018, they released their first compilation album, Complete LR, which included all tracks from their previously released mini-albums along with two new songs. On April 11, 2023, Ravi announced his departure from VIXX, leading to the sub-unit’s disbandment.
