Biography

Slash's Snakepit was an American rock supergroup from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1994 by Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash. The band initially consisted of Slash, drummer Matt Sorum, guitarist Gilby Clarke, bassist Mike Inez, and vocalist Eric Dover. Their debut album, It's Five O'Clock Somewhere, was released in February 1995 through Geffen Records. The album charted at number 70 on the Billboard 200 and featured the single "Beggars & Hangers-On". Following a tour that included shows in the US, Europe, Japan, and Australia, Slash was called back to Los Angeles to resume work on Guns N' Roses, leading to Slash's Snakepit disbanding soon afterward. In 1998, Slash reformed Slash's Snakepit with a new lineup, releasing their second album, Ain't Life Grand, in 2000. After completing a tour supporting AC/DC and their own headlining tour, Slash disbanded the group due to lack of commitment from band members.
