Biography
Skrape is an American nu metal band from Orlando, Florida, formed in 1997. The group initially went by the name "Jojo" before renaming to Skrape. They released a demo tape in 1999 and signed to RCA Records that same year. Their debut album, New Killer America, was released in 2001, featuring songs like "Waste" and "Isolated". The band toured with notable acts such as Pantera and Slayer. Skrape's second album, Up the Dose, was released in 2004 but received little label support due to changes at RCA Records. The band disbanded shortly after. After more than two decades of inactivity, Skrape announced on March 8, 2026, that the band had reunited and was planning to tour and release new music.
